Partners, Developers, Investors Wanted

So you’ve watched Social Network and you thought to yourself “How can I be the next Zuckerburg”. It’s okay, we all want to know. There are no guarantees in the development world, but I can tell you that you do not have a very good chance if you don’t even try.

I am looking for a few people to get involved with a development start-up. Do you have development skills, a good business sense or do you just want to invest in the next big thing?

Partners
I’m an idea man, a developer, but I have to have someone to help with the business side. We will need to find start up funding, create business agreements and all that great stuff. Is that your strength?

Developers
I am looking for those with documented experience in development for iOS, Android, Blackberry, Adobe, HTML5.

Investors
I have begun developing products using my own capital up until this point, but to begin to make the real money it’s going to take money. If you are interested in being an initial investor in this company, this is when you can get on cheap!

Blackberry App Processing

Our first app EmergNet has been released to Blackberry AppWorld for approval. Release 1.0.0.0 was submitted on 2/8 and now 48 hours later we have not seen any real update. Version 1.1.0.0 was release for approval today. We hope this meets the criteria for Blackberry’s current Playbook 2.0 promotion.

What’s new is 1.1.0.0
The new release adds 3 new emergency data feeds:

  • USFA Emegency Alerts
  • MEMA Citizen Alert System
  • NWS Weather Conditions & Alerts for Maine
  • We migrated the app from being web based to a native HTML5 (WebWorks) app that runs from inside the tablets file system.

    Blackberry Playbooks App Development

Blackberry is going bold this year and has put out an offer to give away Playbook 16G Tablets for any app submission during the promotion period.

We rushed and released EmergNet Mobile and it’s all in their hands now. If they approve the app and honor the promotion, we will be dedicated Blackberry Developers and will release the full EmergNet Platform to Blackberry OS.

We will post back when we find out what happens. GoBold!

    iPhone Tricks

There are a few functions of the iPhone that a lot of users don’t know about:

    1. Power Off: To power off your iPhone hold the lock button. A swipe to power down bar should appear.

    2. Screenshot: To take a picture of whatever is on your screen hold the lock button and press the home button. The image will be stored in your Camera Roll!

    3. Poor Reception: If you think you should have a better reception coverage in your area, go to Settings and turn Airplane Mode on for about 10 seconds. Your phone will search and we have found that it generally comes back with a better signal.

    Keeping your PC running smoothly

So many times I am tasked with reviving a system that the user assumes has simply gotten too old. I run a barrage of tools and voila the PC is good as new (well not really, but it’s running better than before). Here is my go to list of software tools for PC restoration:

    Malwarebyte Anti Malware: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
This program will find and hopefully remove most of your “Malware” from your PC. Trust me you probably have more than you realize. Download the program, install it and run a Full Scan, you’ll be amazed.

    CCleaner http://www.piriform.com/
This program gets rid of all the little files that we accumulate by working online, installing/uninstalling software and using our computers every day. I normally run the Cleaner and Registry portions of the program to free up some space on the clogged hard drive.

    Defraggler http://www.piriform.com/
This program is better to use than windows built in defrag tool. Do this step last, after you’ve cleaned everything up and made any software changes to the computer. This will organize the data on the hard drive so that the computer can access it quickly and efficently.

Beyond that use our contact tab and I will get in touch with you and see what we can do.
